Quelques commentaires des critiques renommés de l’industrie:

Robert Parker

Wine Advocate, Issue # 188, April 27 2010

Once Upon a Time (1899, 1929, 1949, 1959, 2009)

“2009 may turn out to be the finest vintage I have tasted in 32 years of covering Bordeaux”

“The vintage displays many of the characteristics of such creamy-textured, opulent, fat, succulent years as 1959, 1982, 1990, and some of the northern Médocs of 2003. Yet, the 2009s also have the structure, freshness, acid levels as well as vibrancy and precision of such cooler years as 1986, 1996, and 2000. In that sense, this is the glory of the 2009s. For as big and rich as well as high in alcohol as they are, they are also remarkably delicate, fresh, and pure. This paradox, albeit a wonderful one, is unprecedented in the three plus decades I have been tasting Bordeaux barrel samples.”

“Thankfully, there are many splendid examples of those in 2009. Forget the first-growths. They have become luxury products, and possess the same prestigious image as Rolls Royce, Bentley, or Aston Martin cars, Roger Dubuis or Berguet watches, or haute couture from Chanel or Christian Dior. They are looked at by more and more investment funds as safe harbors where it is nearly impossible to lose money if purchased early enough, and in the strong vintages.”

“I hope readers will take a serious look at many of the less prestigious appellations and wines from those areas as they will no doubt represent fabulous bargains in 2009. Given the overall style of the 2009s, which combine creamy, voluptuous textures and sensational fruit-driven opulence with remarkable finesse, precision, purity, and vibrancy, the best of the “little” wines will be delicious young, as will many of the classified-growths. This is a magical vintage!”

Bordeaux 2009 - whoah!

“The last vintage to generate a comparable buzz was the 2005 Bordeaux. When it was released in the summer of 2006, the huge level of hype over its quality persuaded many people to invest heavily in it. Many private investors fared well with the 2005 Bordeaux from leading estates realising a Compound Annual Growth Rate (CAGR) of 9.5 percent, compared with 1.5 percent on the FTSE. “

“Such figures for the 2005 vintage are generating huge excitement amongst investors looking for a similar or better return from the even more highly-hyped 2009 vintage.”

“…there's no question that the 2009 en primeur presents a great investment opportunity

James Suckling

Wine Spectator Journal, Issue: June 30, 2010

Bordeaux Triumphs Again

“After reviewing nearly 700 wines from 2009, I conclude that Bordeaux did harvest an exceptional vintage last year. “

“I rated hundreds of wines as potentially outstanding (90 points or higher on Wine Spectator's 100-point scale), and dozens of wines earned potentially classic scores (95 to 100). Overall, I give the 2009 vintage a provisional rating of 97 to 100 for the Left Bank (Médoc districts such as Margaux, St.-Julien, Pauillac and St.-Estèphe) and 95 to 98 for the Right Bank (primarily Pomerol and St.-Emilion).”

“The sweet white wines are excellent as well.”

“I wrote in many tasting notes "best ever”, or "best since" a particular vintage. Many winemakers said that it was one of their best vintages ever, too.”

“I certainly left Bordeaux content after tasting so many fabulous wines. I plan to buy some 2009 futures when they are released on the market, and I suggest you consider purchasing wines from châteaus you collect.”  “The wines will be giving pleasure for years to come.”

Despite Record Prices, Bordeaux 2009s Are Selling

“How are 2009 Bordeaux futures selling? "You get a lot of, 'That's a crazy price. I'll take six bottles,'"... That goes all the way down the line. The négociants say, 'Wow, that's crazy. I'll take my allocation.' And then [the retailers] are saying, 'Wow, that's nuts. I'll take it.'"
